FAQ’s

What does my session fee pay for?
The session fee covers Alex’s time, talent and vision during the session, time spent editing and preparing your images for your private online gallery and also at your personal ordering appointment where you can expect to be inspired. In business since 2003, Alex has over 13 years of experience in creating “perfect” image heirlooms and displays for you and your home.

Are there any minimum order requirements?
No, there are no minimum order requirements; however, custom photography is an investment in time and money and most of Alex’s clients invest anywhere from $600 to $2,500 apart from the session fee. Because of this, Alex has designed many display options to choose from in order to meet most client’s budget.

Can I purchase all of my digital negatives?
Yes. Contact Alex for more details.

What should I dress my child in?
Clothing is an important part of making a beautiful image. Alex suggests that you wear what is comfortable to you and reflects your child’s or family’s style. Similar colors and styles, all unify the look of your family and look great. Textured clothing, like cable-knit sweaters or linen, show up beautifully, as well as khaki or denim. Bright colors and/or layers are fun and whimsical and bare feet are always cute and natural. If you prefer muted tones, that is great too…choose a palette that works for you. Babies are most beautiful showing off their pure and perfect skin, especially newborns.  Visit our Pinterest inspiration board for more ideas and look out for a What to Wear Guide after your session is reserved and confirmed.

How should I prepare before the session?
Make sure you and your little ones are fed and well rested before your photo session. Bring snacks and a change of clothes. A coordinating prop, a favorite toy, a tutu, boots, a hat or a special heirloom are all great things to bring to the session. Alex understands that families are busy; however, it is useful to not have things scheduled on the day of your session and even the night before. Tired and over-stimulated children appear that way in their photographs. On the day of your session appointment, it is best to only bring the persons being photographed to prevent distractions. Kids can really pick up on our stress levels, so it’s important to relax and have fun!

How long does a session last?
Most sessions last about one hour; however, Alex does not rush though your session since creativity nor children can be pushed (Mini is 20 minutes). Newborn sessions take at least 2 to 3 hours.

How long does it take to receive my order?
From the time that you place your order and make your payment in full, it can take anywhere between 2 and 6 weeks for your order to be delivered to you depending on the display product. Please allow for an extra cushion around holidays.
